Ebony Jo-Ann is an accomplished performer from New York to South Africa.  Being an independent artist, Ms Jo-Ann has retained the purity and earnest nature of high quality artistry, avoiding the pitfalls of popular music styles that are rapidly produced and affected by the mandates of current, yet passing trends in music today.  Her singing style reflects the merging of spirituality and entertainment.

Extracting the music portion of her extensive career in theatre, film and television also represents 360 degrees of diversity.  Ebony Jo-Ann 'blackgold' is the toast of New York's nightclub scene, drawing capacity crowds wherever she appears.  Her local following was established during her late night performances at the legendary Sweetwaters. As a Broadway actress it made sense for the community to step out to the clubs to see Ebony after their curtain came down.   She also packed them in at Mikells, Ashford & Simpson's Twenty/Twenty, The Village Gate, Joe's Pub, B.B. Kings, Greene Street,Lenox Lounge, Small's Paradise, Minton's, The Cotton Club, The Sugar Bar and The Baron, to name a few.

She has graced stages such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Symphony Space, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Kennedy Center, Copa Cabana NYC...

Concert venues with Horace Silver, Nat Adderley Sr., Big Joe Turner, Danny Mixon, Miles Jaye, Onaje Allan Gumbs, Kenny Neal, Rudy Stevenson Quartet, among many others.
